59th Annual Spanish Market

July 24-25, 2010

This popular free event held on the Santa Fe Plaza provides visitors and residents alike a unique opportunity to experience New Mexico's vibrant Spanish culture.  Produced by the Museum of Spanish Colonia Art which supports traditional Hispanic arts and artists, the Market features handmade traditional arts by over 200 local artists, live music, dance and regional New Mexican foods. 100 emerging youth artists display their work in a separate area.

Santa Fe International Folk Art Market

July 2011

The annual Santa Fe International Folk Art Market has grown to become one of the largest events of its kind providing attendees an unparallel opportunity to interact with the artist who create cultural treasures.  The market, which has now become a full week of cultural interchange benefits more than 170 master folk artist representing 52 countries while allowing over 24,500 visitors the opportunity to enjoy exotic food and free world music and discover often very affordable art ranging from textiles, jewelry, baskets, prints, rugs to other handmade goods.  The economic impact is significant for the 52 countries represented as over 90 percent of the money from sales goes home with the artists, the proceeds used to help build schools, health clinics, purchase food, clothing and medical area.

International Folk Art Week starts with an exhibit at the Museum of International Folk Art.  The exhibit will feature 10 women's cooperatives and will be the first show in the Museum new Gallery of Conscience.

3rd Annual SOFA West

2011

This annual Sculpture Objects & Functional Art Fair (SOFA) is considered one of the foremost fairs for masterworks bridging design and fine art.  The four-day event held at the Santa Fe Convention Center provides an opportunity for elite international galleries and dealers to showcase outstanding contemporary arts and design.  Over 2,000 guests and 10,000 visitors attended the 2010 show.

Santa Fe Gay Pride 2011

June 2011

Santa Fe has a large and welcoming gay community and there are a number of events throughout the city starting June 19th.  The 2010 Santa Fe Gay Pride Parade on Saturday, June 26 runs from the New Mexico State Capitol to the Railyard District Park just south of the SITE Santa Fe museum.  The festival runs from 10 am - 5 pm and features live music, GLBT organization booths, as well as retail, arts and crafts.  The Inn At Santa Fe welcomes members of the GLBTQ community and is conveniently located minutes from RainbowVision Santa Fe with Garbo's Restaurant and the SilverStar Lounge and Cabaret as well as other special events.  We hope to see you soon and invite you to return in September when Santa Fe will host the International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association Symposium.

26th Anniversary Santa Fe Century
Bicycle New Mexico – May 2011
The annual Santa Fe Century attracts more than 2,500 biking enthusiasts for an unforgettable scenic 100-mile ride down the historic Turquoise Trail, through the old mining towns of Madrid and Golden, across the Ortiz and San Pedro Mountains, into the old village of Galisteo and back to Santa Fe. If you are not up for the 100-mile trip, you can opt for “out and back” journeys of 25, 50 and 75 miles.
